I've been checking the weather-forecasts the last few weeks for wind in the Netherlands, and finally, end of August the forecasts looked banging for the whole following week - 25 increasing to 40 knots over the 7 days, so my plan was to just pack my car on the 30th and head to Hindeloopen for a week.
I met up with my friends Sophie and Patrick up there, so the first day wich was not really windy was covered by good company. Both of them are passionate windsurfers and Sophie even goes for a kite sesh from time to time. I managed to take some dope pictures of them both as you can see here.
The kite sessions in Mirns have been top notch as well, I didn't really manage to capture a lot tho, as I lost my GoPro the week before while wakeboarding.
This was my first time kiting in the last 5 months, so I really had to get used to riding again, not that much progression, but really fun nonetheless!
The spots here at the IJsselmeer are so good for learning new tricks as it is just about knee deep everywhere you go. So it's also really attractive for kite schools, so you gotta be careful around those guys..
All in all, it was one hell of a week with good conditions almost every day!
The only bummer was that my car somehow managed to run out of battery on the campgrounds, had to get jumpstarted haha.
