In February, some friends and I wanted to escape the negative temperatures of wintertime Bavaria.
So we decided to book a flight and went to Hamata, Egypt.
Sadly, we were stuck between two wind directions and only had super light winds most of the time, so over these two weeks I only had four mediocre sessions due to not bringing a big enough kite. Fabi had much more time on board! My good friend Waldi joined us as well, got his first kitesurfing lessons and managed to ride his first 50 meters after only a few hours!
Nevertheless we had a great time, it was sunny, the water was warm (at least in the deep ocean, the lagoon chills down A LOT during the night), we met great people and saw a lot of wildlife diving the reefs of the red sea!
